making fine wine to create shared memories
This Syrah begins with subtle flavors of chocolate covered cherry, balanced by a rich, earthy core with a hint of gunpowder that reflects the terroir of this unique vineyard. A lush mouthfeel and long finish make this a perfect compliment to many robust dishes.
This 100% Syrah comes from Red Willow Vineyard, one of the most historical and sought after Syrah vineyards in the state. A limited offering with loads of wild blackberry, raspberry and cocoa, complimented by hints of graphite and stewed plum.
Stainless Steel Fermentation for 13 days, barrel aged for 15 months in 20% new French oak Puncheon barrels and 80% neutral French oak.
Winemaker Notes: Red Willow vineyard is one of the oldest established vineyards in the state. It’s rocky, loose soils force the vines to struggle and produce excellent fruit. This Syrah showcases why this varietal grows so well, and is so unique in Washington. Aged in puncheons for more balanced extraction.
